SC Cyber, the Governor’s statewide cybersecurity initiative in South Carolina, announces the expansion of its efforts to include the opening of an office in the North Augusta Municipal Center.

Recognizing the rapidly expanding need for a holistic cyber ecosystem in the Central Savannah River area, SC Cyber will work with local leaders and the community to meet the region’s growing cyber related educational and workforce demands.

On March 7th, 2018, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster formally announced SC Cyber’s expansion efforts and highlighted the unprecedented economic development opportunities available to Aiken and Edgefield counties that will come with the move of the U.S. Army Cyber Command to Fort Gordon in nearby Augusta, Georgia. Governor McMaster also applauded the work of local leaders and the efforts of the Savannah River National Laboratory, the Economic Development Partnership, and others who have already begun laying the groundwork for a holistic cyber ecosystem and workforce pipeline for the area.
