eSentinel North American Open
By Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security, UTSA
eSentinel is a “King of the Hill” style assessment and defense cyber competition where the goal is to capture and defend as many resources as you can. The game starts with a series of virtual targets – each with an identified scored service running on it. Your team’s goal is to penetrate targets, mark the scored service with your team’s token, and hang onto that target as long as you can. High point total at the end of the event wins. Targets must continue to provide the identified scored service – a web server must keep providing content, DNS servers need to resolve requests, etc. If a scored service fails 5 consecutive service checks it is reset to its starting configuration.
The competition is FREE and open to any 2 or 4 year institution. Team size is 2 to 4 members and all players must be registered students of the institution they are representing. Institutions may register more than one team, but players may only participate on a single team.
To register, we ask that only the team captain or team POC register for the event on behalf of your entire team. All communications will go to the registered team captain or POC. Please only select 1 ticket when registering your team. Each team must have a separate team captain or POC.
Prizes and trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.
Registration for this event closes on Agust 6th at 5pm CT
The competition will be held on August 15th 6pm-10pm CT
