We strongly encourage all of our members to deploy DMARC and DNS to increase your protection against cyber crime.
Our partner, the Global Cyber Alliance, offers the following free solutions for training and deploying DMARC and DNS.
DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance), a free email authentication protocol, protects organizations from direct domain spoofing, yet less than 20% of companies such as banks, hospitals and even technology companies worldwide use it.
GCA encourages all organizations to implement DMARC to increase their protection against phishing. They have created an easy-to-use online tool to walk you through the DMARC set-up process.
GCA also has several DMARC training and deployment resources available:
· Executive video explaining the benefits of DMARC
· DMARC Overview Brochure
· Online tutorial videos on YouTube
· The DMARC Setup Guide (available in several languages)
· Free monthly DMARC Webinars
The next DMARC webinars will be held on August 2nd. Click to register 8:00AM EDT or 2:30pm EDT Register for a webinar at a later date by clicking here.
GCA has also made a free DNS Service available, which provides a robust basic layer of protection against malicious and infected websites. GCA has partnered with Packet Clearing House (PCH) to build a globally distributed open anycast DNS infrastructure that blocks malicious domains based on the threat intelligence received from 17 public and private threat intelligence providers from around the world. Most importantly, the infrastructure is privacy preserving as GCA does not collect the source IP of the DNS queries coming in.
You are invited to join GCA’s early adopter program. Configuration of computers and networks takes only a few minutes. With a small investment of time you can start reaping the benefits of this protection immediately. More information about this project can be found at https://dns.globalcyberalliance.org/#/
If you have more questions or are ready to connect to the GCA DNS pilot, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
