The week of July 16th through the 20th, ECPI hosted the 2018 South Carolina InfraGard CyberCamp in Greenville, South Carolina. The Cyber camp aims to help engage student's technical skills and aptitudes for Information Technology and Security. The camp is designed to be a launchpad for students to identify their future career path in Technology or Cybersecurity. The Cyber camp consisted of 11 students at the K-12 level, with a variety of boys and girls.

On Monday, July 16th, SC Cyber hosted a session at the InfraGard CyberCamp. During the session, the students were given the opportunity to engage in an online network simulation activity called CyberProtect. CyberProtect is a web-based, interactive computer network defensive exercise. It is intended to familiarize students with information assurance terminology, concepts, and policy. Students learn about defensive security tools, which must be carefully deployed on a simulated network. They are then faced with a spectrum of security threats and must make practical decisions for allocating resources using the elements of risk analysis and risk management.
